All of the Beef sold through our butchery is our own Home-Made Organic Longhorn Beef that is grass fed and supplimented with estate grown Organic cereals.
Longhorn Cattle are one of the oldest breeds in Britain and it is this breed that helped English roast beef to become so famous. Longhorn beef is reckoned by Heston Bluementhal to be the best in the world! also Country Life magazine recently ran a competition to find Britain's Best Steak and the winner once again was Longhorn, if you would like to try it for yourself come and see us or call the shop 01202 625688.
The most economical way of getting yourself a supply of some of the worlds best beef is to order a beef box for your freezer which gives you a range of cuts for frying, stewing, braising and roasting at great prices.
We also have a good stock of our own Home-Made ethical Rose Veal, that is reared outside free to roam as it should be giving a more natural rose tint and better flavour than that of some less welfare continental animals.
As we deal with whole animals we can offer all cuts of meat, including some of the more traditional cuts like blade, feather steaks and jacobs ladder.....
As the Larder is the home of the Dorset Charcuterie Company we use our Beef and Veal to create fantastic cured, smoked and air-dried products including Beef Bacon, Pastrami, Breasola, Biltong, Droewors and Corned Beef.
